Digital Culture And Mental Health Tops The Strategic Priority List For Gen Z

Gen Z are more likely to leave workplaces due to poor mental health

Deloitte’s recent Mental Health and Employers’ Report showed the cost of poor employee mental health at work has increased 25% over the last two years. When we factor in isolation, financial insecurity and the challenges of being within early careers in a digital work environment, it’s understandable why the Gen Z population and new employees are facing more challenges to mental health.

At Live More Offline Ltd we focus on enabling wellbeing, performance and human connection in a digital future of work. We also work in partnership with Gen Healthy Minds to offer early careers training with a difference…

… training which includes a focus on digital culture, healthy digital habits and how to boost performance in digital work.

In fact, the World Economic Forum predicted that 50% of employees will need reskilling by 2025 as a result of the increased adoption of technology. As technology automates more of the routine work, critical thinking, learning, problem-solving and analytical thinking top the list of the skills our people will need. There is one things these have in common – we need focus. Yet we work in environments constantly distracted by the pings of emails and messages, our focus fragmented by constant interruptions. Working smarter with technology, in a way that aligns to how our human brains actually work, is one of the greatest skills we can give to those who are starting their careers in our organisations.
